GRANITE FALLS -- A man who allegedly grabbed a Minnesota state trooper's Taser last spring failed to appear at plea hearings in Yellow Medicine District Court this week, court records said.

Court records said a warrant was issued for Adam Glenn Hegg, 37, of Canby, after Hegg failed to appear at a hearing Wednesday. Hegg is charged with disarming a peace officer, obstruction of legal process, DWI, and refusal to test.

Hegg was pulled over by the Minnesota State Patrol on March 17, 2021, a criminal complaint said.

The complaint alleges Hegg got into a struggle with the state trooper and took the trooper's Taser. The trooper was able to regain the Taser, the complaint said.

Court records said plea hearings were scheduled for Hegg on Feb. 15 and Feb. 16, but he did not appear at either hearing. A warrant for Hegg's arrest was issued on Wednesday, court records said.
