The line inside the Canby Theatre in Canby on Sunday afternoon was long, but the wait was worth it for lots of children who turned out to make face-to-face requests for toys this Christmas. While Santa was interested in hearing what the children wanted for Christmas, he also had a request of his own. He wanted to know if mom or dad were good bakers. “What’s your favorite cookie?” he asked each group of children. Chocolate chip was one of the favorites. The bottom line, he reminded the children to leave him a cookie and half a glass of milk before going to bed on Christmas Eve. At left, Owen Roberts talks with Santa.
