GARVIN — A Balaton man was injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday at U.S. Highway 59 and U.S. Highway 14, the Minnesota State Patrol said. Wallace Lee Runia, 93, was taken to Sanford Tracy Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 6:40 p.m. A 2008 Chevy Tahoe driven by Runia was traveling eastbound on Highway 14 at the time of the crash. A 2006 Chevy Impala being driven by Nicholas Robert Willhite, 16, of Tracy, was stopped facing westbound on Highway 14, when the two vehicles collided, the State Patrol said.

The Garvin Fire Department and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office also responded at the crash scene.
