Twirling batons and lots of candy

Rain showers spoiled some of the scheduled fun at Coming Home Days in Cottonwood on Saturday, but not the parade. Just a few sprinkles fell during the late-afternoon parade through the downtown area. After a year off because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cottonwood Clerk-Administrator Teather Bliss told the Independent before the weekend activities that there was a lot of interest in participating in the parade. Baton twirlers from Kayko Studio in Marshall put on a show for the parade crowd.
