It had been an unusual year, Principal Brian Jones told students during Marshall High School’s first and only assembly on Tuesday morning. But in spite of the circumstances, Jones said students learned and achieved a lot. MHS celebrated the academic achievements of its students at Tuesday’s Honors Assembly. Above, Jones and school faculty applauded senior members of the MHS Honor Society, who were presented with stoles they will wear at graduation. Representatives of each academic department also presented individual student of the year awards for seniors. At right, senior Avery Anderson was presented with the student of the year award in world languages. Below, seniors receiving student of the year awards gathered after the assembly for a group photo. Award recipients included Amiin Aden in math, Ryan Schroeder in language arts, Noah Dunn in business, Spencer Vang in art, Aubrey Bjella in science,Cami Baumann in agriculture, Zoe Vorbach in music, Brittany Seifert in Family and Consumer Science, Dominga Batz Castro in physical education, Avery Anderson in world languages,Kaw Klay in English language learning, and TJ Cordes in social studies.
