WABASSO — Wabasso resident Dennis Fennern, 85, was identified by the Redwood County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday as the person who died Saturday in a two-vehicle crash in rural Vail Township.

Fennern was driving a Polaris Ranger UTV that was struck by an SUV at the intersection of Redwood County Road 6 and 230th Street, according to the Sheriff’s Office. A Dodge Durango struck the UTV in the intersection and the UTV overturned.

The driver of the Durango, Mary Heiling, 56, of Wabasso, was not injured in the crash, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The crash is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
