One dead in crash near Granite Falls

GRANITE FALLS — A St. Cloud woman was killed and two people were seriously hurt in a one-vehicle crash Monday night on Minnesota Highway 67 near Granite Falls, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

Kasandra Lee Krumm, 30, was a passenger in a 2003 Dodge Caravan that hit a tree, the State Patrol said. Krumm was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, but it was not clear from State Patrol reports when she died.

The driver of the vehicle, Adam Jon Keyser, 39, of Hopkins, and another passenger, Dianna Faye Rodriguez, 59, of Granite Falls, were taken to Sioux Falls with life-threatening injuries.

The crash was reported at 9:03 p.m., in Minnesota Falls Township in Yellow Medicine County. The Dodge was eastbound on Highway 67 when it crossed the center line and gradually drove into the ditch, the State Patrol said. The vehicle drove parallel to the roadway for about 100 yards, and then struck a tree head-on. None of the occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts, the State Patrol said.

The Granite Falls Fire Department, Police Department and Ambulance, Upper Sioux Police and the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office all responded at the crash scene.
