State basketball tournaments canceled
MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota State High School League officially announced Friday that the remainder of the girls state basketball as well as the boys section and state tournaments have been canceled.
The action ends the seasons for the Minneota girls basketball and Marshall boys basketball team. The No. 1 Vikings defeated Red Lake in Thursday’s state quarterfinal game. The Tigers defeated Mankato East during Thursday’s Section 2AAA championship.
Also, the section speech tournament scheduled for this weekend has also been postponed.
The MSHSL will have an announcement later today regarding additional details and information about other upcoming activities, including spring sports.
