Marshall speech team competes at Lakeville South, Minneota
The Marshall Tiger speech team varsity speakers finished in 4th place out of 21 teams at the Lakeville South Speech Tournament on Saturday. The teams from Eastview, Eden Prairie, and Prior Lake finished ahead of Marshall. The Tigers were led by seniors Jack Pedersen and Lydia Hurst. Pedersen won 1st place in humorous and took 7th in duo with partner Isaiah Schroeder. Hurst finished in 4th place in original oratory and in 6th place in duo with partner Mansi Bell. The Tiger C-Squad competed at the Minneota Speech Tournament and finished in 3rd place as a team. Ninth-grader Georgia Rabaey led the team by earning a 2nd-place finish in informative speaking.
