Marshall Hy-Vee to reduce store hours starting Monday

MARSHALL — Feel like picking up some groceries at 2 a.m. at Hy-Vee? This will be the last week you can visit there in the wee hours of the night.

Marshall Hy-Vee is among the Hy-Vee stores that are changing their store hours.

Currently, the store is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Hy-Vee will reduce overnight hours in all its stores, effective Monday. Marshall Hy-Vee will be closed from 1-5 a.m.

Hy-Vee spokeswoman Christina Gayman said the reason for the change is a general drop in customers during later hours.

“We have changed our hours to reallocate several team members to be available to assist customers during busier shopping times each day,” Gayman said.

The West Des Moines-based Hy-Vee chain has more than 240 retail stores in eight states: Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Starting at $4.38/week.
