Winter parking enforcement goes into effect on Friday

MARSHALL — The winter season is approaching, and starting Friday, Marshall Police will be enforcing snow emergency routes and winter parking regulations.

The MPD announced Monday that winter parking rules will be in effect from Nov. 1 to April 1. In addition to listing snow emergency routes around town, Marshall city ordinances also list streets where vehicles may not be parked during the overnight hours, to allow for potential snow removal.

Information on snow removal routes, winter parking regulations, and places and times where parking isn’t allowed can be found in Chapter 74 of Marshall’s city ordinances. The ordinance can be found online at https://library.municode.com/mn/marshall/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=PTIICOOR_CH74TRVE.

People with questions about winter parking rules can call the police department at 507-537-7000, the MPD said.
