Two arrested after report of gunshots in Marshall

MARSHALL — Marshall Police arrested two people, a man and a woman, this week in connection with a report of gunshots in Marshall on Saturday.

Police said a 31-year-old Marshall man was arrested Tuesday for reckless discharge of a firearm within city limits, making terroristic threats, second degree assault, and ineligible possession of a firearm. A 23-year-old Marshall woman was arrested Wednesday for second degree assault and making terroristic threats.

A news release from the Marshall Police Department said the arrests came as the result of an investigation into reports of gunshots being fired near the Addison Lot in downtown Marshall on Saturday. The investigation ended with the arrest of the two suspects this week.

Police said both arrests were made without incident, one at the man’s home and one at the woman’s workplace.

Police did not release the suspects’ names, but did say they were being held at the Lyon County jail before their initial appearances in Lyon County District Court.
