MARSHALL — Starting Wednesday, motorists will need to detour around construction on part of Lyon County Road 33 in Marshall, the city of Marshall announced.

County Road 33 (Erie Road) will be closed at the intersection of Hahn Road while excavation work is going on, a city news release said Monday. Contractors will be replacing utilities at the intersection.

While construction is going on, there will be a detour on County Road 33 between U.S. Highway 59 to North Seventh Street. The detour will take drivers onto Highway 59, Fairview Street and North Seventh Street.

Motorists who travel on County Road 33 through Marshall should follow the detour route, or plan on alternate routes while construction is going on, the city said.
