Celebrating a year of excellence

Honors presented to Marshall High School students

Marshall High School students, staff and community members celebrated a year of excellence at the 2019 Honors Convocation, held Tuesday morning at the high school.

The assembly recognized academic and activity achievement by MHS students of all grade levels. New members of the MHS Honor Society were inducted, the top students in grades 9, 10, and 11 were named, and MHS faculty members presented Student of the Year awards in each of the school’s departments.

Above: Band director Wayne Ivers awarded Ashley Arndorfer with the Music Student of the Year certificate. The Student of the Year awards recognized students for their classroom achievement, curiosity in and dedication to a subject.

Seniors receiving high honors had a GPA of 3.5 or above, and seniors receiving highest honors had a GPA of 3.9 or above.
