MARSHALL — A long-term investigation conducted by the Brown-Lyon-Redwood-Renville Drug Task Force resulted in five arrests and the seizure of approximately three quarters of a pound of methamphetamine, according to a news release from the Renville County Sheriff’s Department.

The task force executed two search warrants in the city of Marshall during the operation. The release said Jolene Carmel Goblish, 55, of Marshall, David Nielsen, 50, of Lake Benton, Kasey Roy Westberg, 31, of Marshall, Gary Roy Westberg, 53, of Marshall, and Cynthia Rose Tongen, 24, of Marshall were arrested and charged in Lyon County District Court.

Gary Westberg was charged with felony illegal possession of firearm/ammunition, and the other four were all charged with felony first degree possession of methamphetamine. Kasey Westberg and Cynthia Tongen were also charged with methamphetamine crimes involving children.
