MARSHALL — A Marshall hotel is under new management, but still ready to serve travelers and area residents. Spokespeople for the Ramada in Marshall said this month that they are now operating under GF Management, a national hotel ownership and management company.
The Marshall Ramada became part of GF Management’s portfolio in February, company spokespeople said.
“We are very excited to add the Ramada Marshall to our outstanding portfolio of managed properties,” said Jason Everson, vice president of operations for GF Management. “We are confident the implementation of our proven management systems will elevate this hotel to a leader in the market.”
GF Management said it specializes in hotels, resorts, golf courses and other hospitality-related properties. The company is based in Philadelphia, and manages around 85 properties in 28 states.
Besides management services, the services listed on GF Management’s company website include advisor and consulting services, and hotel receivership. The Marshall Ramada went into receivership in February, Marshall city staff said. At the Marshall City Council’s March 27 meeting, council members approved the transfer of the Ramada’s on-sale and Sunday liquor licenses to its receiver.
While local representatives of the Marshall Ramada said they couldn’t yet announce details, GF Management said it plans to improve the hotel’s services, facilities and perception. In a news release, GF Management spokespeople also emphasized the Marshall Ramada’s amenities, as well as its location near major highways, local businesses and Southwest Minnesota State University. The hotel has 100 rooms, as well as more than 3,000 square feet of flexible function space for events, spokespeople said.
“We could not be more excited about our involvement with this property,” Everson said. “We take great pride in not only the service we provide to our guests, but the product in which it’s presented. We are confident guests will be thrilled with the changes we bring to this established hotel.”
