Ag Bowl at SMSU

There was something for everyone at the Southwest Minnesota State University’s Ag Bowl Saturday prior to the college football game. There were two bounce houses, face painting, a hay maze, a kids’ tractor pull, a petting zoo, and a football toss sponsored by the National Guard. There was even steer roping (with steers made out of hay bales) sponsored by the SMSU ag education class, and an area farmer gave hayrides with a matched set of Percheron horse pulling a hay wagon. Implement dealers had a display of machinery near the entrance to Mattke Stadium.

Tucker Janssen, 3, of Marshall, was one of many youngsters who pedaled their way into a participation ribbon and a free can of pop at the kids tractor pull during Ag Bowl at SMSU Saturday.
