Lund, Depyper face court hearings in Brown County

NEW ULM — Two Lyon County men were arrested over the weekend as part of a prostitution sting operation that took place in Springfield by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

Both Paul Raymond Lund Jr., 46, of Cottonwood, and Lawrence David Depyper, 70, of Lynd, have been released on conditions, one of which is that they appear for their next court date. Lund’s court date is 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 12, and Depyper’s next court date is Sept. 26 at 8:30 a.m.

A total of eight men are behind bars after the prostitution sting.

It targeted those seeking sex with underage girls, Senior Investigator Jeff Hohensee said.

The other men booked into the Brown County Jail over the weekend have been identified as Jordan Michael Brown, 26; Joshua Theodore Lippert, 38; Shane Allen Madson, 20; Pedro Mayoral-Gomez, 36; Franklin Aman Pineda Solares, 24; and James Robert Wallace, 39.

Three already appeared in court Monday on the charge of agreeing to hire a minor to engage in prostitution involving ages 16 or 17.

Madson is from Sheldon, Iowa, Wallace is from Madelia and Sorralis is from Worthington, Hohensee said.
