Helicopter crash on Isle of Wight kills 3
LONDON (AP) — A helicopter crash during a flight lesson over an island off the coast of England has left three people dead and one person seriously injured. The incident on Monday morning on the Isle of Wight involved a Robinson R44 II helicopter with a pilot and three passengers on board. The injured person was airlifted to University Hospital Southampton. Witness Leigh Goldsmith saw the helicopter spiral into a hedge. The U.K.’s Air Accidents Investigation Branch has sent a team of inspectors to the scene. The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
