Business Briefs for March 26

Winter named vice president of Patient Care Services at Avera Marshall

Denae Winter has been named vice president of Patient Care Services at Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center in Marshall.

“I’m excited for Denae to take on this new opportunity. She brings a wealth of experience, a deep commitment to high-quality local health care, and a strategic mindset that makes her an excellent fit for this position,” said Debbie Streier, Avera Marshall’s regional president and CEO.

Bobbi Jo Vandendriessche has served in a dual leadership role in both Patient Care Services and the Clinic Division since 2022. She will continue as vice president of the Clinic Division, while Winter will step into the vice president of Patient Care Services role, effective April 27.

“Bobbi Jo has successfully led both areas for several years. However, with Avera Marshall’s continued growth, it is time to dedicate leadership to each area. This adjustment will also align our leadership structure with other Avera facilities. I am grateful for Bobbi Jo’s leadership and adaptability through various role changes over the years. This transition will allow her to focus her energy on clinics,” Streier said.

Winter has worked at Avera Marshall since 2004, beginning her career as a home health aide and LPN before earning her RN degree. She has held leadership roles since 2012, previously serving as Manager of Behavioral Health Services before transitioning to her current role as Director of Inpatient Services in 2022. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Minnesota State University Mankato and a master’s degree in nursing, leadership and management from Walden University.

Starting at $3.95/week.
