Avera Marshall opens primary care clinic at Western Mental Health Center

Avera Medical Group Marshall and Western Mental Health Center in Marshall are collaborating to offer an onsite primary care clinic at WMHC. This clinic opened in early November.

“We’re happy to be partnering with Avera around this service. Having a family medicine provider on site at WMHC helps ensure patients’ primary care needs are met promptly and conveniently in conjunction with their mental health care appointments at WMHC,” said Sarah Ackerman, executive director, Western Mental Health Center.

“This collaboration ensures services are in place to meet the comprehensive health needs of individuals,” said Mary Maertens, regional president and CEO, Avera Marshall. “In addition, the clinic is open to everyone, whether or not they are currently receiving care at Western Mental Health Center. This offers another location where anyone in our community can access family medicine care.”

The clinic is open Monday through Friday for appointments and walk-in visits. Appointments are available by calling Avera Medical Group Marshall at 507-537-9007, option 4. The clinic is located at Western Mental Health Center at 1212 E. College Drive in Marshall.
