A Summary of the Proceedings of the Lyon County Board

9:00 a.m. pursuant to notice the Lyon County Commissioners met with the following members present: Commissioners Anderson, Sanow, Crowley and Ritter. Also present: Administrator Stomberg and Attorney Maes. Commissioner Graupmann was absent.

MSP to approve the agenda.

MSP to approve the consent agenda.

MSP to adopt the resolution giving notice of Lyon County’s intent to terminate its involvement in the PrairieNet WAN Joint Powers Entity

effective January 1, 2018.

MSP to approve the resolution approving Jerry Lonneman, Rodney Spronk and Joe Weber to the Lincoln Pipestone Rural Water Board for another 4 year term and have the LPRW Board address the liaison

position to come from the AMC District 8.

MSP to allow VanMoer to move forward with safety improvements to include signage, rumble strips on the intersections of County Road 6 & 11 to come out of the wheelage tax dollars. Also have VanMoer apply for a safety grant to remove the hill to improve the intersection.

MSP to approve the resolution requesting a variance from the Park Road Account Projects, Minimum Geometric Design Standards for Project No. SAP 42-600-003.

MSP to award SAP 042-599-145 to R&G Construction Company with the low bid of $570,285.00.

MSP to install a 15″ solar powered speed sign to reduce speed along County Road 8 entering Green Valley for a total of $8,666.76 to be paid out of the Wheelage Tax and discuss a portable sign during budget time.

MSP to approve Schroeder seeking out a three-year extension for the Recycling Contract. Motion passed with Commissioners Anderson, Crowley, Graupmann and Sanow voting in favor. Commissioner Ritter abstained from voting.

MSP to set a resolution in favor of Plum Creek Executive Board forming a Building Committee to develop best plans going forward for the Plum Creek Building and have the results brought back to the various counties.

MSP to post the fulltime Veteran Service Officer position.

MSP to appoint Commissioner Crowley as the delegate and Commissioner Anderson the alternate on the One Watershed One Plan Board.

MSP to adjourn at 12:48 p.m.
