LYON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

A Summary of the Proceedings of the Lyon County Board

9:00 a.m. pursuant to notice the Lyon County Commissioners met with the following members present: Commissioners Anderson, Sanow, Graupmann, Crowley and Ritter. Also present: Administrator Stomberg and Attorney Maes.

MSP to approve the agenda with the addition of Correctional Officer Hire and Grant Agreement Amendment.

MSP to approve the consent agenda.

MSP to approve the donation of $25 from Sharon and David Kabes to the Sheriff’s Department.

MSP to approve the quote from Bladholm Construction for $8,955 for tuck pointing and $7,128 for calking exterior brick on the Government Center.

MSP to deny the resolution reappointing Jerry Lonneman, Rodney Spronk and Joe Weber to 4-year terms to the Lincoln Pipestone Rural Water Board.

MSP to approve the Out of State Travel for the IT Administrator to

attend training on ransomware prevention to Sioux Falls, SD.

MSP to allow the Historical Society to remove a wall in the second floor of the Museum.

MSP to approve the contract as approved with STS effective July 1, 2017.

MSP to approve the renewal of the one-year contract with the State of MN for work release services between Lyon County and the State of MN effective July 1, 2017.

MSP to deny the subordination agreement to a mortgage from First Premier Bank for parcel 03-001002-2, Terrance Lacek.

MSP to approve the resolution allowing Schroeder to submit the Legacy Grant application for Twin Lakes Park and bring Garvin Park back to the next meeting for reconsideration.

MSP to approve Lyon County participating in the County Road Safety Plan Update project and pay the local match of $7,000.

MSP to agree to the terms of the Master Partnership Contract with MNDOT and approve the resolution to allow the Board Chair and County Administrator to execute the Contract on behalf of Lyon County.

MSP to approve the Bike Trail Legacy Grant Amendment as presented.

MSP to deduct the $3,000 from the $40,000 allocation for the 2017 Fair.

MSP to approve the hire of Nick Baune as FT Facilities Maintenance Worker with a starting rate of $16.25 and a start date of on or around June 6, 2017.

MSP to approve the hire of Kelsey Verdoes as Correctional Officer with a starting rate of $17.12 and a start date of June 12, 2017.

MSP to develop a performance improvement plan for the VSO, to be communicated to him by the Administrator when he returns, based on discussions had on performance during the closed session.

MSP to come out of closed session at 12:45 p.m.

MSP to adjourn at 12:52 p.m.
