A Summary of the Proceedings of the Lyon County Board

9:00 a.m. pursuant to notice the Lyon County Commissioners met with the following members present: Commissioners Anderson, Sanow, Graupmann, Stensrud and Ritter. Also present: Administrator Stomberg and Attorney Maes.

MSP to approve the agenda with the addition of CD 13 change order, CD 10 change order and A/T replacement of Driver’s License Employee.

MSP to approve the Consent Agenda.

MSP to approve the January-June 2016 Adult Basic Education lease for $13.50/foot/annually.

MSP to authorize Commissioner Stensrud to sign the Joint Powers Agreement with Area II.

MSP to approve the change order extending the timeline for the CD 13 project to be completed.

MSP to accept the change order for CD 10 to extend the timeline for the project to be completed.

MSP to deny the request to waive the tax penalty for Dawn Vankuelen.

MSP to approve the final payment for CP15:HS for a total of $57,174.59 to Traffic Marking Service Inc.

MSP to approve the final payment for CP13:53 for a total of $30,648.94 to R&G Construction.

MSP to approve the final payment for SAP 42-599-147 for a total of $15,487.01 to R&G Construction.

MSP to approve the final payment for SAP 42-611-031 for a total of $7,229.95 to R&G Construction.

MSP to approve the final payment for SAP 42-610-035 for a total of $83,809.99 to R&G Construction.

MSP to approve entering into an agreement for design and inspection professional engineering services with Sambatek for the Cottonwood Main Street reconstruction project.

MSP to approve the memorial donation of a tree and a plaque from Trisha Behnke along the Camden to Marshall Bike Trail.

MSP to approve the revised Signworker job description with the addition of a 90 day window to obtain a Class A license.

MSP to approve the Mechanic Foreman position to include a Class A license and allow advertising for the open position.

MSP to approve the Building and Grounds Worker job description.

MSP to enter into closed session at 11:10 a.m.

MSP to come out of closed session at 11:25 a.m.

MSP to recess at 12:00 p.m. until the Truth & Taxation meeting.

MSP to adjourn at 7:00 p.m.

9:00 a.m. pursuant to notice the Lyon County Commissioners met with the following members present: Commissioners Anderson, Sanow, Graupmann, Stensrud and Ritter. Also present: Administrator Stomberg and Attorney Maes.

MSP to approve the agenda as presented.

MSP to approve the Consent Agenda.

MSP to approve Jay Opdahl to trap beaver from JD 7 at the rate of $50 per beaver.

MSP to approve Resolution 2015-32.

MSP to approve purchase of Argyle security software in the amount of $22,000.

MSP to approve purchase hardware from Argyle for $29,346.00.

MSP to approve change order and authorize Administrator to sign Proposal Request #7.

MSP to accept low bid from EcoWater for $8,255.00.

MSP to authorize capital committee to get the specs and bid the HVAC system.

MSP to approve to hire Matthew Appel as Correctional Officer in the Jail. Position is at pay grade 5 and starting wage is $15.47/hr. Pending Board approval and a successful background check, start date will be determined.

MSP to hire Joel Walerius as Deputy Sheriff at base pay for Deputy at $20.57/hr, pay grade 10, effective on or around December 1.

MSP to approve Resolution 2015-30 to hire Deputy Joel Walerius.

MSP to adjourn at 9:52 a.m.
