A Summary of the Proceedings of the Lyon County Board

9:00 a.m. pursuant to notice the Lyon County Commissioners met with the following members present: Commissioners Anderson, Sanow, Graupmann, Stensrud and Ritter. Also present: Administrator Stomberg and Attorney Maes.

MSP Approve the agenda with the addition of Lease Agreement at Garvin Park.

MSP Approve the Consent Agenda.

MSP Reimbursement Resolution for ditch projects with the maximum bond amounts set at $818,226 for CD 10 and $213,376 for JD 31 L&L.

MSP Approve establishing a new lease for Jason Woodford for rental of land at Garvin Park.

MSP Approve the 2016 Veterans Town Hall meeting for February 18, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the Marshall YMCA.

MSP Approve the resolution to enter into a grant agreement with the Minnesota Department of Veteran Affairs for the Operational Enhancement Grant Program for 2016.

MSP Approve the Emergency Management Performance Grant Agreement with the State of Minnesota.

MSP Acquire quotes for cleaning and re-slope a portion of JD 15 L&R Improvement.

MSP Acquire quotes for cleaning and re-slope a portion of JD 15 L&R Improvement.

MSP Purchase a 2015 John Deere 772GP for a total purchase cost of $208,924 to include a 5 year warranty.

MSP Enter into closed session to discuss the County Administrator’s Performance Review.

MSP Approve an annual salary of $110,600.00, an approximate 3%

increase to the County Administrator’s annual salary.

MSP Adjourn at 12:15 p.m.

A Summary of the Proceedings of the Lyon County Board

9:00 a.m. pursuant to notice the Lyon County Commissioners met with the following members present: Commissioners Anderson, Sanow, Graupmann, Stensrud and Ritter. Also present: Administrator Stomberg and Attorney Maes.

MSP Approve the agenda with the addition Deputy Resignation.

MSP Approve the Consent Agenda.

MSP Motion made to approve Resolution #2015-24 for the 2015 Archery Season with addition to add Item 5 stating the $5 fee.

MSP Motion made to approve contract with MPCA for the Collection and Disposal of Paint.

MSP Motion made to approve the Lyon County Transit sales tax and Lyon County Transit use tax Agreement and appointing A/T Moberg as the county point of contact.

MSP Motion made to approve hire of Sherri Kitchenmaster as full time Lyon County Assessor. Appointment shall be a 4 year term as provided by M.S. 273.061 subd. 2.

MSP Motion made to accept resignation of Jorden Hennes effective Sept. 4, 2015.

MSP Motion made to accept resignation of Corey Leighton effective Sept. 11, 2015.

MS: Motion made to accept resignation of Parks Maintenance Manager Tim Amick, effective Sept. 11th, 2015.

Voting in favor: Graupmann, Ritter, Stensrud, Sanow

Against: Anderson

Motion passes: 4-1

MSP Motion made to approve the forfeited land resolution and set the sale date for October 9, 2015, at 10:00am in CR 3.

MS: Stensrud motioned, seconded by Graupmann to approve to

participate in the Trunk Highway 23 Safety Study.

Voting in favor: Stensrud, Graupmann

Against: Anderson, Ritter, Sanow

Motion fails: 2-3

MSP Adjourn at 12:15 p.m.
