Global Entrepreneurship Week celebration

The Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Southwest Minnesota Small Business Development Center (SBDC) — funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration — are hosting a trio of engaging events in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), Nov. 17-20. These events are designed to inspire, connect, and celebrate entrepreneurs, students, and community members across the region.

All events are free and open to the public.

Future Forward Live: Turning Dreams into Reality

• Date: Monday, Nov. 17

• Time: 5:20-7 p.m.

• Location: SMSU Lower Conference Center, 1501 State Street, Marshall

• Details: Join us for an evening of inspiration featuring a live podcast with local changemakers, including artist and sculptor John Sterner, student entrepreneur Braxton Seifert, veterinarian Dr. Stacy Lewison, and dentist Dr. Amy Full. Enjoy food, prizes, and networking as we explore stories of grit, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit.

SBDC Sound Lab Open House

• Date: Tuesday, Nov. 18

• Time: 1:30-2:30 p.m.

• Location: SMSU Science & Technology Building, Room 253, 1501 State Street, Marshall

• Details: Discover the power of podcasting and video production at the SBDC Sound Lab. Learn how to schedule time in the lab, explore creative tools, and enjoy free cookies and refreshments.

Local vendor market & networking lunch
