Education Briefs for Sept. 18
SWWC Conference for Young Artists Oct. 30
The SWWC Student Enrichment department wants to give kids the freedom to be creative and challenge their imagination at the Young Artists Conference. This conference gives students an opportunity to dabble in different areas of art, pursue a passion, and spark an interesting activity they’ve never tried before. At the Young Artists Conference, students will participate in three hands on learning art sessions.
There are many unique sessions for students to choose from to unleash their creativity. See the brochure on the website for the full list of session options, from painting to working with plaster or clay, drawing, theater, paper quilling and much more. The day will kick off with Hector Curriel, a visual artist from Sioux Falls, S.D.
This event is for students from anywhere in grades K-8. Spots will fill fast, so come join the fun on Oct. 30, at the Conference for Young Artists, which will be held in Marshall. Find all details about the conference and registration online at www.swwc.org/ya. Registration deadline is Sept. 25 at midnight.
