Cole receives MSU Moorhead scholarship

Eli Cole of Marshall has received an $4,000 University Scholarship and Talent Scholarship of $1,000 from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Eli is a graduate of Marshall Senior High School. Eli’s parents are Chad and Keri Cole.

University Scholarship recipients must have an ACT score of 21+ and a 3.50 GPA. The scholarship is over four years.

Gustavus Adolphus College announces dean’s list

The spring semester dean’s list at Gustavus Adolphus College has been released.

The list comprises students who have earned a 3.7 grade-point average (based on a scale in which 4.0 = A) or higher for the semester ending in May 2020.

The following local students were named to the Dean’s List at Gustavus Adolphus College:

Dawson: Jake Lee; Garvin: Joshua Kirk; Marshall: Thomas Fischer, Michael Gutman

Minnesota West named top school for online learning in healthcare

Minnesota West Community & Technical College has been named one of 2020’s best schools for online learning in healthcare by EduMed.org. Minnesota West Community & Technical College earned top honors for its online programs and courses in the following areas:

Best Online Associate Degrees in Healthcare Administration

Best Online Pharmacy Tech Programs

Best Online ADN Programs

Best Online Medical Billing and Coding Schools

EduMed.org researched and analyzed more than 7,700 accredited schools using data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and from the schools themselves.

The website’s data science team then applied a proprietary algorithm to rank all qualifying schools for each healthcare discipline.

The College of St. Scholastica announces students named to the dean’s list

The College of St. Scholastica announced its spring 2020 dean’s list recipients.

Dean’s list members have achieved a 3.75 grade-point average or above on a 4.0 scale.

Spring 2020 dean’s list recipients include the following local students:
