RTR Middle School Showcase Night is March 17

Showcase Night is from 2-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, RTR Middle School. Concession-style food will be available in the gym lobby — pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, popcorn, candy, chips, ice cream, bars and cookies. Prices range from $.50 to $2.50. Gluten-free sandwiches will be available as well.

Student showcase displays, theater productions are at 4 p.m and 6 p.m. Musical acts, FCCLA presentations, speeches.

Scholarship offered to veteran daughter or granddaughter

The American Legion Auxiliary is offering a scholarship in the amount of $500 to a senior daughter or granddaughter of a veteran (living or deceased).

Application forms can be obtained from Marshall High School student services. The deadline for applying is April 24. For questions, call Jeanne Kvick at 507-532-9729.

26th annual Science and Nature Conference May 13 at SMSU

Do you have students who are intrigued by technology, love to invent, build thing, are adventurous, fascinated by how things were created or are just curious about science and nature? Here is your chance to get students excited about science. Mike Lynch, meteorologist, will take you to the stars with his passion for astronomy. Join us, on May 13, at this one-of-a-kind Science and Nature Conference. Students, in grades K-8 will explore science related topics during three hands-on learning sessions at this one-day event filled with fun, excitement and learning. Students will want to come back for more.

The Conference will be on May 13 at SMSU in Marshall. Register online only by March 31. Specific details, session options in brochure, presenters and online registration can all be found on the website www.swsc.org/sn.
