Education Briefs for Sept. 18

Young artist conference is Oct. 22 at SMSU

Imagine, create, design and perform are only a few things students will be doing in three hands-on learning sessions at the Conference for Young Artists. Students can expand their imaginations and build creativity by learning new art techniques and broaden their perspective about art.

James Wedgwood is coming to inspire students to follow their dreams with his comedy-ventriloquism show. Sessions will fill up fast, so get registered today.

This Conference will be Oct. 22 at Southwest Minnesota State University. Register online only by Sept. 24 to save. To see all session options and appropriate grade levels, go to the brochure on the website at www.swwc.org/ya. Schools can register a group of students or parents can register and bring their students. For questions, contact Andrea Anderson at andrea.anderson@swwc.org 507-537-2257 or Laurie Fales at laurie.fales@swwc.org; 507-537-2270.
