Schreurs, Siekmann graduate from University of St. Thomas
The following Marshall students graduated from the University of St. Thomas in spring 2015: Morgan Schreurs, BA, political science, women’s studies, summa cum laude; Lindsay Siekmann, BA, English – writing emphasis.
Nelsen graduates from Wartburg College
Wartburg College awarded diplomas to 298 graduates at its commencement ceremony May 24.
Chad Nelsen of Cottonwood graduated with a degree in individualized: education and ministry. He is the son of Denise Nelsen.
He was also named to the Wartburg College winter/May Term dean’s list.
The list honors students who earned a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or above in at least five course credits during the two terms. Four of the five course credits must be graded with a traditional letter grade.
Haas named to dean’s list at Northwest Technical College
Robert Haas from Canby earned dean’s list honors from Northwest Technical College in Bemidji at the conclusion of the spring 2015 semester.
To be eligible for the dean’s list, NTC students must be enrolled for at least 12 credits and earn a 3.5 GPA during the semester. A total of 102 students earned spring 2015 dean’s list honors from the college.
Hass received an associate of applied science, carpentry, certificate, construction technology.
Deutz named to SJU dean’s list
Max Deutz, son of Timothy and Jennifer Deutz of Marshall, has earned the distinction of being named to the dean’s list for the 2015 spring semester at St. John’s University, Collegeville.
Deutz is a junior nutrition major at SJU.
To be included on the dean’s list, students must have a semester grade-point average of at least 3.80 and have completed 12 credits for which honor points (A, B, C, etc.) are awarded. Students included on the dean’s list cannot have any “unsatisfactory” or “incomplete” grades for that semester.
Finkey receives UI degree
Katie Finkey, a native of Marshall, received a PHR-pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, at the close of the spring 2015 semester.
Schmitz named to spring 2015 dean’s list
McKenzie Schmitz, a native of Currie, has been named to the University of Iowa’s dean’s list for the 2015 spring semester.
Undergraduate students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering and the Tippie College of Business who achieve a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher on 12 semester hours or more of UI graded course work during a given semester or summer session and who have no semester hours of I (incomplete) or O (no grade reported) during the same semester are recognized by inclusion on the dean’s list for that semester.
Undergraduate students in the Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine may qualify for the dean’s list with fewer than 12 semester hours of graded credit if deemed appropriate by the college.
