Swedish meatball supper at Hope Lutheran A Swedish meatball supper and bake sale will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Nov.2, at Hope Lutheran Church, 113 S Jefferson St, Minneota. Menu consists of: Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, Gravy,candied carrots, buns and butter, cranberries, pie/dessert and beverage. Take-out is available. Pancake breakfast Sunday A pro-life Pancake Breakfast will be from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Oct. 26, in Holy Redeemer’s Carlin Hall.  The proceeds go to our area Birthright in Marshall and to Choices Pregnancy Center.  Pancakes, eggs and sausage will be served.

A recent Public Forum writer expressed his concern about members of the LGBTQ community being bullied. Nothing good comes using words to belittle someone. Friends, if I could give you one piece of advice today, it would be to stop skimping on your friendships. Take it from me, someone who runs busy most of the time. I love the gospels’ regular use of seeds as metaphors because so much of our faith life is all about acting on belief alone, hoping that one day those actions will bear fruit. Garage sale fundraiser today-Saturday Mothers in Christ is having a garage sale fundraiser from 4-7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Marshall Efree Church, 410 Airport Road, Marshall. The event is a name your price garage sale. All profits will help fund Mothers in Christ.
