CDA officers installation and meeting Monday

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Joan of Arc #1291 Marshall will have an installation of officers prior to the 5:30 p.m. Mass on Monday. Their September meeting and the new members reception will follow Mass down in Carlin Hall.

St. Edward fall festival Sept. 18

St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota is having its fall festival Sunday, Sept. 18.

A meal of roasted pork loin, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, fresh vegetable sides, dessert and a beverage will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Take-out is available. Dinner tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-12 and free for kids 3 and under. A children’s carnival will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will also be a silent auction, a cake walk, a country store and more.

Jesus Cares Bible class to begin

Jesus Cares Bible class is starting up the “year” with a potluck picnic kick-off at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, in the basement at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 208 W. Marshall St. Hot dogs will be provided. The church building is fully accessible.

Bible class begins at 6:30-7:30 p.m. Class is Sept. 15 and 29 and usually the first and third Thursdays of the month through the end of May.

At Christ Ev. Lutheran Church we look forward to sharing God’s love in the good news of Jesus Christ with all people of our community, including individuals of all ages who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families at a comfortable level of understanding.
