Drawn to the Word artist to be at First Lutheran Church Sunday

Paul Oman, artist and pastor, will be at First Lutheran Church in Marshall at 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Sunday.

Oman shares his Drawn to the Word artistic ministry with audiences ecumenically across the country. He served as a science teacher, then Lutheran pastor when, in 2011, he took up work as an artistic pastor full time.

Oman seeks to give new vision to God’s Word by using the process of painting to captivate audiences in our visually oriented culture. Painting and drawing have been a part of his life since childhood. Receiving national and international recognition for his work in watercolor, he uses this gift to proclaim the Gospel in unique and powerful ways that impact lives and inspire mission.

He has worked in many settings, including congregations, schools, universities, seminaries, camps, prisons, nonprofits, and more. The larger-than-life-sized murals are painted with acrylics on stretched canvas.

He lives near Amery, Wisconsin, with his wife, Jana, and their children.

Experience a Drawn to the Word artistic worship experience where Oman will paint a larger-than-life sized mural before your eyes. First Lutheran’s 8:30 a.m. service will be a live stream. This story will unfold artistically, musically, narratively, and scripturally during the event. All are welcome. For more information about Oman and his ministry go to: www.paulomanfineart.com.
