Pet blessing Sunday at Holy Redeemer Church

In observance of St. Francis of Assisi Feast Day, a blessing of pets will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Holy Redeemer Church, Marshall. This is an ecumenical event, sponsored by the Secular Franciscan Order. All are invited to bring their leashed or caged pets and join in the celebration.

Judge upholds Colorado ordinance limiting religious events

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A federal judge denied a request to override Colorado’s 175-person limit on religious gatherings as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

U.S. District Judge Christine Arguello wrote in her decision that allowing those gatherings to happen would “present a high risk of harm to the state of Colorado as well as the public in general.”

Authorities investigating ‘Zoom bombing’ of church

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Authorities are investigating after someone committed a so-called “Zoom-bombing” of a church’s virtual worship service.

The Greensboro News & Record reported Wednesday that Minister Nicholas Glenn of the Sharpe Road Church of Christ filed a complaint with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office.
