Bema Live performance is Wednesday at MMS

The Bema Live is brought to the Marshall area by The Legacy Foundation, in cooperation with three other organizations in Window, Wilmar and Alexandria. Together, these organizations collaborated to bring Joe Mayers and his show to Minneota for a four-show tour.

It will be presented at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Marshall Middle School theater, doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free, but a donation will be accepted for admi. This is an event for all ages — middle school to adult.

The Bema Live is a one man show by Joe Mayers. This presentation is a fictional account from a book by the Rev. Tim Stevenson in the late 1990s. Since then it has been reworked and refined for the stage, and is now performed by Mayers, who received his bachelor’s degree in acting from California Baptist University. It is a story of a man and his experience before the Judgement Seat of Christ. It is a story of loss and reward, love and regret, and finally — glorification and depicts a possibility of what may happen at an event all believers will certainly face.

Mayers has a degree in theater from California Baptist University, followed by a career as a stage actor and musician. He lives with his wife and son in Southern California and takes his performance of The Bema Live to churches, conferences, and universities all over the world.
