Kyla Schuler and Greg Barnes announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are Tony and Stacie Schuler of Granite Falls and David and Cindy Barnes of Marshall. Schuler is a 2015 graduate of Central Minnesota Christian School in Prinsburg and a 2018 graduate of Ridgewater College in Willmar. She is a student at Metropolitan State University and employed as a registered nurse at Granite Falls Health. Barnes is a 2010 graduate of Marshall High School and a 2013 graduate of Ridgewater College. He is a deputy for Yellow Medicine County and a part-time police officer for the city of Granite Falls. The couple plans to be married on May 31, 2019, near Alexandria.
