MARSHALL — Lauren Geurts and Brady Mellenthin announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are John and Janelle Geurts of Marshall and Scott and Jane Mellenthin of Marshall. Geurts is a 2012 graduate from Marshall High School. She graduated with a bachelor of science degree in public health: community health from Winona State University in 2016. She is an emergency preparedness coordinator at Southwest Health & Human Services. Mellenthin is a 2011 graduate from Marshall High School. He is a data systems engineer at Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center and a volunteer firefighter for the Marshall Fire Department. The couple plans a Sept. 9, 2017, wedding in Marshall.
