MARSHALL — Melody Helmer and Beau Bofferding announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are Mike and Jackie Helmer of Duncanville, Texas, and Tom and Karen Bofferding of Marshall. Helmer is a 2011 graduate of Trinity Christian High School and a 2015 graduate of Oral Roberts University with a degree in social work. She is a supervisor for Northwoods Children’s Services in Duluth. Bofferding is a 2012 graduate of Marshall High School and plans to graduate in May from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in public health and promotion and a minor in coaching. He has accepted a coaching position at Grace Prep High School in Duncanville, Texas. The couple plans a June 17, 2017, wedding and reception in Celina, Texas.
