ST. PETER — The No. 1-ranked Marshall volleyball team defeated St. Peter 3-0 (25-15, 25-9, 25-16) in the Big South Conference Championship on Tuesday. It is the eighth straight conference championship for Marshall.

Leah Jones led Marshall with 18 kills while Taylor Ariasola added 10 and Tessa Gannott had eight. Caitlyn Christenson led in digs with 18 while Cassie Hoover added 16 and Jones had 11. Maysa Gillingham led in set assists with 32.

Marshall (27-2) will find out its Section 3AA opponent on Friday before starting tournament play next week.
