SMSU GOLF: SMSU ready for Augie Invite this weekend
MARSHALL – The Southwest Minnesota State University women’s golf team is back on the course today and Sunday competing at the 36-hole Augustana University Spring Invite at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Today’s opening round begins with tee times starting at 9 a.m., while Sunday’s final round begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. A total of 13 teams are expected to play in the tournament. SMSU is expected to have all nine golfers compete at the invite.
SMSU is coming off a win at the Mustang/Maverick Dual last Thursday and Friday. SMSU’s Hannah Kohls earned medalist honors shooting a 10-over 153.
In six rounds this spring, Kohls has a team-low 82.8 average with teammate Sally Gallagher averaging 86.3.
Following play this weekend, SMSU will compete at the three-day NSIC Championships on April 23-25 at Dacotah Ridge Golf Club in Morton.
