PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: TMB takes down MACCRAY 73-52

CLARA CITY — The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton boys basketball team defeated MACCRAY 73-52 on Tuesday.

Jake Turner and Tony Nelson led TMB with 25 points each while Noah Swenhaugen added 12 and Christian Wendland had seven. Turner led in rebounds with 11 while Wendland led in assists with eight.

TMB (2-0) will face RCW on Friday at 7:15 p.m.

DB 65, YME 24

DAWSON — The Dawson-Boyd boys basketball team defeated Yellow Medicine East 65-24 on Tuesday.

Gauge Liebl led DB with 28 points while Keegon Wicht added 12 and Micah Olson had 11. Liebl also led in rebounds with eight while Wicht led in assists with four.

Cody Dahlager led YME with eight points while Kyle Chase added six and Preston Berends had five. Chase led in rebounds with three while Landon Anderson led in assists with two.

DB (1-1) will face Canby on Friday at 7:15 p.m. while YME (0-2) will face KMS on Friday at 7:15 p.m.

CMCS 86, Canby 45

PRINSBURG — The Canby boys basketball team fell to Central Minnesota Christian 86-45 on Tuesday.

Will Varcoe led Canby with 13 points while Michael Tol added seven and Ty Stoks had five. Varcoe also led in rebounds with seven while Evan Weber led in assists with five.

Canby (0-2) will face DB on Friday at 7:15 p.m.

Wrestling

Wabasso 60, Paynesville Area 15

PAYNESVILLE — The Wabasso wrestling team defeated Paynesville Area 60-15 on Tuesday.

For Wabasso, Kaysen Harms and Hunter Taylor won by decision while Mikale Goblirsch, Garret Marotzke, Ty Altermatt, Sam Welch and Jaxon Fischer won by forfeit and Adryen Tietz, Chase Irlbeck, Carter Benz and Tyler Bliss won by fall.

Wabasso will compete next on Thursday against Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial at 5 p.m.

Girls basketball

Minneota 74, RCW 16

RENVILLE — The Minneota girls basketball team defeated Renville County West 74-16 on Monday.

Abby Hennen led Minneota with 20 points while Natalee Rolbiecki added 16 and Abby Rost had 12. Abby Hennen, Rolbiecki and Abby Rost each led in rebounds with seven while Abby Hennen led in assists with three.

Minneota (2-0) will face CMCS on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
