Marshall’s Lance named to AP All-State team, Bly earns Class 4A academic honors

MARSHALL — A pair of Marshall football players recently earned some accolades. Bryce Lance was named to the 2020 Minnesota Associated Press All-State football team while Jack Bly earned Class 4A Academic All-State honors.

Bly was one of 17 players in Class 4A to be recognized while Lance was named to the First Team at defensive back. Joining him on First Team is Trey Feeney (Moorhead), Austin Freerksen (Byron), Terrance Kamara (Minneapolis North), David Collins (St. Michael-Albertville), Riley Mahlman (Lakeville South), Bastian Swinney (Edina), Tyler Magnuson (Wayzata), Logan Purcell (Annandale), Lucas Heyer (Hill-Murray), Eli Green (Farmington), Brady Walthall (Moorhead), Cade Kramer (Eden Prairie), Deven Eastern (Shakopee), Garrison Solliday (St. Thomas Academy), Nate Becker (Maple Grove), Josh Franklin (Fridley), Nick Flaskamp (Minneapolis Southwest), Nyle Dickel (Minneapolis Washburn), Eli Mau (Chanhassen), R.J. Chakolis (Hopkins), Jake Ratzlaff (Rosemount), Joey Sorenson (Spring Lake Park), Reid Patterson (Lakeville South), Noah Kiani (Irondale) and Mario Sanders (Minneapolis North).
