PREP VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Knights cruise past Eagles, 3-1

MADISON — The Russell-Tyler-Ruthton volleyball team defeated Lac qui Parle Valley 3-1 (25-11, 24-26, 25-13, 25-13) on Tuesday.

Ella Hesse led the way for RTR with 13 kills while Abby Carr and Haley Muenchow each added 12 and Kalleigh Carr had nine. Maddi Wendland led in digs with 24 while Lexi Schreurs added 16 and McKinley Schreurs had 11. McKinley Schreurs also led in set assists with 29 while Kalleigh Carr added 17.

RTR (6-0) will face Lakeview on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.

YME 3, RCW 2

RENVILLE — The Yellow Medicine East volleyball team defeated Renville County West 3-2 (25-19, 19-25, 25-13, 22-25, 15-11) on Tuesday.

Shelby Mortenson led the way for YME with 15 kills while Alli Steffen added 10 and Yansi Flores and Ruby Bones each had seven. Kiara Sakry led in digs with 24 while Steffen added 21 and Flores had 20 and Aria Peters led in set assists with 36.

YME’s (3-3) next match is TBD.

TMB 3, DB 0

DAWSON — The Tracy-Milroy Balaton volleyball team defeated Dawson-Boyd 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-18) on Tuesday.

Kylie Hensch led the way for TMB with 10 kills while Sheridan Ludeman and Jadyn Lessman each added nine. Margaret Dolan led in digs with 17 while Kiarra Danielson added 12 and Maddi Langerock led in set assists with 31.

Karoline Dahl led the way for DB with eight kills while Kate Dahl added seven and Ella Johnson and Bailey Bothun each had five. Tarah Johnson led in digs with 12 while Ayiana Hastad and Karoline Dahl each added nine and Kyndall Franzky led in set assists with 25.

TMB (6-0) will face Canby on Thursday at 7:15 p.m. while DB (0-6) will face LQPV on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.

Canby 3, CMCS 0

PRINSBURG — The Canby volleyball team defeated CMCS 3-0 (25-23, 25-12, 25-19) on Tuesday.

Gabby Harding led the way for Canby with 12 kills while Mackenzie Janiszeski added 10. Kyla Rangaard led in digs with 10 while Paige Nelson led in set assists with 19 and Rachel Harding added 16.

Canby (4-1) will face TMB on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.

Edgerton 3,

MCC 2

EDGERTON — The Murray County Central volleyball team fell to Edgerton 3-2 (25-10, 22-25, 21-25, 25-23, 8-15) on Tuesday.

Camdyn Kluis led the way for MCC with 10 kills while Sophie Larson added five and Emma Johnson and Amber Boock each had four. Kylie Frisk led in digs with 29 while Kluis added 15, Brynn Graphenteen had 14 and Boock had 11 and Graphenteen led in set assists with 29.

MCC (2-4) will face HBC on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
