YORK, Neb. – The Southwest Minnesota State wrestling team (3-5, 2-3 NSIC) finished 1-1 on the day at the York College/Northeast Oklahoma/Southwest Minnesota State Triangular in York, Neb., on Saturday.

The Mustangs fell to Northeast Oklahoma 25-17 to open the day, before earning a 47-6 victory over York College.

Hunter Pfantz (125), Hayden Voxland (174), and Jackson Ryan (197) were the lone Mustangs to earn back-to-back bout victories on the day.

The Mustangs left 184 open during the triangular, which would be the only bout victory allowed against York.

The Mustangs also finished 11 finishes at the North Country Open in Collegeville, led by two first place finishes from Jordan Peterson who placed first in the silver bracket at 149 after going 3-0 on the day. Carter Marx also placed first in the silver 174 bracket, with another 3-0 day.

The Mustangs return to the mat on Thursday, hosting Minnesota State at 7 p.m. in the PE Gym.
