YOUTH BOYS HOCKEY: Marshall Pee Wee B team falls to Worthington over the weekend

WORTHINGTON — The Marshall Amateur Hockey Association Pee Wee B team fell to Worthington 9-1 on Saturday, scoring their first goal of the season.

The Tigers fell behind early in the first period 4-0, but Brenden Weller took the puck on the breakaway, recovering his own rebound before finding the back of the net at 5:19 of the first.

Carson Becker recorded 29 saves in the loss while the Tigers were able to successfully kill off their lone penalty.

The Pee Wee B game scheduled for Sunday against Windom was postponed due to weather.

The Tigers will be in action again this weekend when they travel to Redwood on Saturday before playing host to Lakes Area (Iowa) on Sunday.

Marshall 1 0 0 – 1

Worthington 4 2 3 – 9

Goals: M-Brenden Weller (UA), 5:19.

Saves: M-Carson Becker, 29.
