SMSU SWIMMING AND DIVING: Mustangs earn 10 first place finishes in win over Wolves
MARSHALL – Southwest Minnesota State captured first place in 10 of 14 events and which heled earn a 143-133 victory over Northern State in college women’s swimming and diving on Friday night at the Don Palm Natatorium.
MacKenzie Kallevig captured first place in three events and was also a member of one first place relay team. She won the 200 yard freestyle at 1:58.81, placed first in the 100 yard freestyle at 54.56 and was also first in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:24.65.
Annika Freiburger won the 1,650 yard freestyle touching the wall first at 18:34.74, while also winning the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:30.37.
Natalie Bohnert won both the 100 yard backstroke (1:00.41) and 200 yard backstroke (2:11.25) and also captured the 200 yard individual medley at 2:15.27.
Addi Schroeder finished with a time of 1:09.37 to win the 100 yard breaststroke.
SMSU’s 200 yard medley relay team of Madison Hubert, Addi Schroeder, Bohnert and Kallevig placed first with a time of 1:52.89.
Megan Nelson earned a score of 217.85 in the 1-meter dive and finished with a score of 171.8 in the 3-meter dive.
Southwest Minnesota State returns to action on Dec. 6-8 at the Rochester Invite.
