SLAYTON — The Murray County Central volleyball team defeated Luverne 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-23) on Thursday night.

Shelby Christensen, Brianna Schmitz, Emily Rohrer and Bryn Hoekman led the way for the Rebels with seven kills each while Morgan Clarke added five. Christensen led in digs with 14 while Camdyn Kluis and Brynn Graphenteen each added 12 and Schmitz had 11. Schmitz led in set assists while Graphenteen added 13.

MCC earned the No. 6 seed in the Section 3A tournament and will face No. 3 Red Rock Central on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Lamberton.

SLEEPY EYE — The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton football team defeated Sleepy Eye 47-16 on Wednesday.

Sawyer Otto led the way for the Panthers with 155 passing yards and three touchdowns while adding 147 yards on the ground and three more scores. Ayden Horner added 80 rushing yards while Konnor Zick had 38 yards and a score. Luc Gervais led in receiving with 40 yards and a touchdown while Horner and Zick each added 37 and 29 yards, respectively and a score apiece.

TMB earned the No. 3 seed in the Section 3AA tournament and will face No. 6 St. James Area on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Tracy.
