MARSHALL – Multiple teams converged in Marshall on Saturday for the Southwest Slugfest 14U and 16/18U softball tournament.

In the 14U tournament, Marshall Orange, Hendricks/Estelline, Luverne, St. James, TAG Thunder, TSC Lightning, Marshall White and Lake Crystal all played each other with Marshall Orange taking second.

In the 16/18U tournament, Edgerton, New Ulm, Marshall, Sioux Falls Black, Mankato, Sioux Falls Purple, Tracy and High Impact participated in the bracket, with Marshall taking second.

The tournament was played at the four-field complex by Marshall High School.
