MARSHALL – The Marshall High School Clay Target League (MHS CTL) defended their title at The Fairmont Trap Club’s second annual Big South Conference Trap Shooting Championship in Fairmont on June 5.

The team posted a final score of 482 of 500 to beat Fairmont by three clays.

“It was a great day of shooting and especially exciting to score one particular round because the kids were focused and shot well with only 2 birds missed,” coach Don Atcher said. “That’s what we hope to see again in Alexandria for the State Trap shoot.”

Additionally, Junior KayLynn Sieber brought home Female High Overall with a score of 98 of 100.

Marshall CTL will compete on Sunday in the state trap shooting tournament.
